The Daimler 420 offers an unmistakably regal silhouette. This particular Daimler is a Landaulette model, which means the rear part of the roof can fold down to provide a semi-convertible rear section (the landaulette roof folds down) — perfect for wedding photography.
The landaulette version of the Daimler 420 is extremely rare. It was was originally designed for public ceremonial events, allowing for greater visibility of the occupants, similar to other ceremonial landaulettes used by heads of state over many years. In fact the Royal Mews still has these vehicles available for use when high capacity vehicles are required.
The main cabin is cavernous especially when just two passengers are travelling on the main seat, but by using the drop down occasional seats the Limousine can seat up to seven passengers — one in the front next to the chauffeur, three on the drop down seating in the main cabin, two on the main rear seat or three if all passengers are of a slighter build.
